I currently have a fat PSP that I've modded myself, and I believe it's running 3.54 M33. That was easy though, because it's a fat and it was running 2.something when I modded it. I also modded a slim PSP a while back.

My buddy gave me his PSP to try and mod, and he has a fat PSP with official FW 3.52. I'm having a hard time which guide I need to follow, but I believe I have all the necessary equipment, including:

Pandora battery (hard modded) but it's a slim one, not a fat one.
Fat PSP with CFW
Multiple memory sticks.

I mean I would think this would be much easier than I'm making it out to be. I've been looking at the various guides on this site but I don't want to screw this one up since it isn't mine without being 100% confident that I'm following the right guide.

Can someone show me a guide that I can use that pertains to my situation?

Thanks!

Hi Grimes47
What CFW are you going to downgrade too??

I can reccomend ( Catb50 Team's Magic Memory Stick Creator v2.0 FULL )
which will downgrade any PSP on Official Sony Firmware to 3.8M33. It is very easy to use with the Pandora Battery..

I have done it now about 20 times on the 3 PSP's that i have..

Hope this helps

Follow this guide HERE.

In regards to the Pandora Battery you might have issues with the SLIM battery going into the FAT PSP. I have heard of others removing the extra tab part at the top of the SLIM battery so it can almost fit into the PSP fat. You will need to hold it there yourself when flashing the PSP.

Or you should be able to use your CFW FAT PSP to convert your FAT battery or your friends FAT battery to a Pandora Battery which all the steps for that process is listed in the guide (if you use this method follow the guide completly including how to backup the battery EEPROM so you can flash the battery back to normal).

I hadn't decided on what I was going to downgrade to, but I'll take your recommendation! Is it possible for you to link me to a download for that file? Or are we not allowed to do that here? Don't want to break the rules!

Thanks for your help!

Yeah I filed the top tab of the battery off, so it fits in properly now. Thanks for the link!
