Ghost and Image - base of the info that I've heard ghost and image create a exact copy of the subject hdd

Question:
1. What is the best image and ghost program (free and user-friendly)
2. Is there a process and program that it can be installed in different PC that will not cause errors on that PC.. what? and how?
3. Can it be save in image for enclosure back-up...

I use Norton Ghost for backing up my hard drive.

There are many others out there. Acronis True Image is another good one.
