Hello Everbody,

I've a the fat ps2 with usbextreme and hdd. And it isn't modded. Is it possible to load .elf files? I want to load a media programm like SMS. Could some one tell how i can get it working without modding it.

No its not possible with USbExtreme to load elf files.

You would need to do a PS2 exploit, using a cheat disk and a PS1 Original game
Or you need Swap Magic to load elf files from a USB drive.

The only thing I want is run a media player (like sms) so i can play divx files with sub.

Best I can tell you is to get one these guys at psx-scene to install fmcb 1.8 to your mc, then you can launch SMS or anything else

http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/

Scroll down to FMCB INSTALL services. It only costs you the postage of your mc to and back to you.
