I have a slim PSP and think its 2000, I got it from Hong Kong and its already got homebrew installed.

The problem is when I do anything its increadably slow, even when Im in the main menue and if im loading anything its even slower, I am unable to play games as it just stutters and runs really slow. I reformated the memory card and it picked up to its normal speed but as soon as I connected it to USB it slowed right down again.

How can I resolve this as it wasent like this when I first got it and I cant wait to start playing games and listening to music again.

Is it M33 fw?If so hit select on main menu. Then see what your Cpu is set at..Change it to A:default,or B: 300,300 is NOT going to break it.It will make it work faster at the cost of a FASTER battery depletion. If you do NOT have M33,then go into recovery mode-Hold R while powering on psp.Next go to CPU speed,an do the same check what it is at,and change if needed.

If the Cpu clock is NOT the problem, you could have a fake Memory stick. But seen as how you say the Menu is even going slow, that leads me to believe its the Cpu clock.Good luck!

i'm not sure it the flash1 saves the settings for the cpu or game speeds but there is a CPU Speed setting in the recovery you can switch the speend to 333 from there if its running to slow to change while in the xmb
