Not a good sign for us starview1 owners. I know there is a thread which updates with er... updates, but we cant keep checking this forever. There is a chance our boxes are now knackered and we should upgrade.
Is there anyone out there who knows definitively whether there will be an update or not? I mean does anyone here do the updates or know the people who do the updates? A lot of the opinion ive read on forums like this are just that - opinion, and mainly speculative.
I cant help but think that if any update was going to come out it would have done so by now.
Maybe i should go out and buy a dbox or a eurovox.
Any ideas?

Ive got another idea. How about i buy a computer for my mum then teach her how to change codes? I know she's 63 but she loves a challenge.
Remember that for some people this situation is more of an inconvenience than for others.

Considering your getting something for nothing, your quite impatient!! if your opinion is that there will be no updates and cant be bothered wating then basically its tough!!
In the event of the Starview 1 and other updates becoming available then yes they will be posted on Page 1

Yep, please have a bit of patience and just wait and see, if you want to throw the towel in then fine, but personally I would advise to the contrary, no-one and I mean no-one has categorically said that there will not be a fix, apart from the odd doubting thomas's.

If something is coming then i'll happily, patiently, and gratefully wait for it. But obviously if its not coming then patience is a useless virtue.
My mums starview has been going a couple of years and has been excellent value. If it needs to be replaced i have no problem whatsoever with doing that.
Im not neccessarily of the opinion that there will be no updates. Posting here and asking what other peoples opinions are is not a sign that i cant be bothered waiting.
I dont mind waiting if there's something to wait for, but i could just be wasting time. How long should you wait? A month? 2 months? A year??
People are under no obligation to bring out new firmware. Those who do release the firmware do so for free and im very impressed with them and am grateful for what they do.
But if there will be no update for starview1 it would be handy to know this. If there will be an update and its X weeks away then it would be handy to know this. If noone knows anything about anything then fair enough. Im only asking.

If you check the other threads on the first page you will see the sv1 fix is being released, probably today by the sounds of it.
