Alright, so I had my Wii modded about an hour ago, with a Wiikey v2. I tried a few discs: MOH2(PAL), COD5(PAL) and they work, but when I try to play No More Heroes(NTSC) it recognises it on the disc channel, but when I enter the game I get a black screen. So, I d/l syndicate's regionfrii patcher, patched the iso from NTSC to PAL, made a new dvd and the same thing happened. WTF am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance for some answers.

Hey dood I'm having the same problem with Mario Galaxy.
Can you tell me how do you know which game is PAL and NTSC?
How do you change one from another?
Anyways mine only gives me the "un-authorized device detected error". Every other game works fine.

you can download regionfrii to tell what type the game is from the iso file. Try re-burning the game with a lower speed and use verbatim DVD-R disks.

The first time I burned at 2X, yes using Verbatim DVD-R, and the second time I tried at 4X...The second time it completely black-screened my Wii and it gave an error.

you might have a bad image of the game, so you might want to redownload. Also, I heard that regionfrii isn't compatible with some game.... I dunno though.

I still play my wii, just not as much. Gave my PSP to my son.

1. you should change the title of your post before it gets closed by a mod. Titles like "Help!", etc, withyout any indication of your problem are against the forum rules.
2. what region is your wii? Do you have the config disc? Did you insert a disc of the same region as the wii when you first installed the chip? what firmware are you on and is the disc an original back-up or a download?

First off, ChiknLitl is right and this post will likely be closed because of the title.
Secondly, proximo68, you do NOT have the same error as myhai. You have the classic 001 error and need to update your modchip. That error is most common with a wiikey so follow the guide on updating to fix it.
And finally, the original problem. I'm guessing you have a PAL console. To display NTSC games you need to change the video output. I cant find the setting you need to change now though because I haven't touched it in awhile. Of course, its ALWAYS better to just get the games from your wii's region. You dont have to worry about bricking the console with an update or messing with video settings.
