Eurovox power light red but wont switch on

Hi has anyone had experience with this who is able to help please?

I have the Eurovox max (blue) which has been working fine for about 2 years however this morning i powered it off from the main (so all indicator lights went off), then once i plugged it back in the red power indicator light comes on but nothing else. No channel numbers/clock appear and the thing wont switch on!
It seems like there is no power however the power indicaot light does light up red. I have left it unplugged for about 4hours then tried again, but the same thing happened.

Can anybody please help and have any suggestions - other than throwing it away!
