well,i connect thru an isp which offers shared cable connection..
i.e i basically connect thru a lan card in my box...this goes to (i believe) a hub where 7 other ppl also connect..

So essentailly i cant do the port frwarding and stuff .since router is not at my end..
also tried the 192.168.1.1 trick ,,which also doenst work cause of above mentioned reasons

oh and this prob stays whether my f/w stays up or down
so essentially i have tried lots and hence this post

aslo getting this new error msg on emule.."low id but trying to connect to other low id-......violation" which i never used to get bfore

besides i cant dcc send on irc nor serve via fserv/xdcc
i know some ports are blocked ..but how do i free them up
any ideas??
and im running XP on a P4
