Problem Burning Verbatims

I seem to be having problems burning backups. Whenever I burn a game using Imgburn, it says operation complete. When I check the DVD it ends up being only 5.31MB. The DVD is always called XGD2_NTSC even though I'm on a PAL system.

I'm using Verbatim 2.4x DL (made in India). Anyone have any suggestions?

Edit: The same errors happen when I burn the game using CloneCD.

are you backing up your games by firstly taking an image of your original if so this is were your going wrong as originals require more than just taking an image straight from your average combo drive see hacking guide for noobs on info on methods for creating backups you will find it via google.

I get the backup games from a friend. They seem to be working fine for lots of other people, it just doesn't seem to be working for me. Could it be the fault of the media? I just tried burning a different .iso on a different computer with a different dvd burner, and I get the exact same results.

can u take one of your own blank sics to your friend that you get the files from and ask him to burn for u and u can watch to make sure u arent doing something wrong?

the only problem i can think ur having is that the dual layer burner u have is not up tp the job i use a nec-4550 combo drive it works very well or u should go towards a pioneer 112

also you say u have tried buring different iso u should be selecting the dvd file to burn

I had a prob. with burning my disc wasted 8 out of a 10 pack before I got it right...I am a newbie but this is what I done and everythig has worked so far.

I use abgx360 gui ...with the new .ini file so it can connect to data base...make sure you get the .ini file. Make sure everything passes...

Then I use imgburn at 2.4x speed laybreak set at 1913760

Then hit burn and in about 40mins everything has been perfect.
