I started having boot problems after removing my old 120 GB drive from my system. The old drive had Vista 32 bit on it and I had installed a new 500 GB drive, on which I installed Vista x64. I no longer needed the 120 GB drive and I was gonna add another 500 gb drive so I took that drive out. But now when I try to boot I get a Insert Boot Disk error. To fix this I tried running recovery off of my Vista disk but it doesn't detect the Vista x64 installation on the 500 gb drive, even though it has the Windows folder and everything else. After messing around a bit, I finally reinstalled the 120 gb drive and used it as the first boot device and the boot loader showed up fine and windows loaded. I don't know how but the new windows installation has no boot files and to fix that I installed EasyBCD to point it to the installation and used to recovery feature to fix the MBR but now I get an error on the boot GUI and it shows no windows installations. However, when I boot off of the 120 gb drive I can boot into the 64 bit windows. Is there a way to fix the boot problem or do I have to reinstall windows again?
