Xbox Creator Problems

Help, I am trying to extract xbox creator which I was sent from the guy I bought a EXTERNAL Samsung dvd rom SH-D162D SH-D162C Kreon v1, but I keep getting the following error message: -

Runtime Error 339

Component 'MSCOMCTL.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

I have also tried to download and I get the same problem there.

Another thing, do you have to use xbox creator with this drive and firmware or can I use schrom?

Can anyone help?
