hi guys

ive just got my wii chipped today with wii key 2, im familair with the whole burning process from the PS2 days but im unsure about wii burning after reading through many posts so maybe someome can help me if i just post. Here goes

I have a DVD RW + Dvd drive and some blank + discs, can i burn an iso image ive downloaded from torrentz? i tried through record now deluxe just spits disc out and on nero i get errors "illegal disc" or do i need a special kind of media ?

You can burn the disk with any DVD burner and any media, but brand of the media will greatly impact your success rate.

Only specific drives can read an original wii disk. If you don't have one of those drives you can either back the game up using one of the DVD drive dump methods or download the iso via a torrent or something.

I'm just a noob here, but have been reading for hours every night this week to softmod my wii (with success yesterday afternoon!). I've read several places that you need to use Imgburn to burn the dvds rather than trying to use NERO or any other burning program. May not be the only program that works, but that seems to be what I've read. It's a free download, so give it a try.

Nero or most other iso burning programs will work, but imgburn is generally recommended because its the easiest to use for newbies and the most reliable.
