Hi all
I have searched and tried about anything i can think of to get this PSTwo (v14) working with my modbo modchip but no luck.
The problem I am having is that the machine will originals but no backups of any kind. It will only give me a RSOD (Red Screen Of Death).
Wires installed after the following diagram
Tried with and with out H wire (this is a PAL machine so I shouldn't have to use H)
YIGBHA is checked against the CXD chip diagram by Team Matrix I used the multimeter from the soldier points on the modchip and to the pins on the CXD.
I also soldiered the SX to the CXD chip.
Matrix Logo shows at startup.
I am able to go into the config meny without any problems.
I have tried replacing the modchip with a new one and redid the wiring twice and no change.
I have also checked the mother board for splashes and found none.
Laser is also replaced and that changed nothing.
Anyone have any tips to what this could be? Any help is appreciated :)
Thanks

I have been doing some more research and I have read that there are installers having the same problem and that the solution is to downgrade the firmware to v1.93/v1.91.
Have anyone here tried downgrading a modbo v4.0 with 1.99 firmware ? Is possible at all? If so can the Matrix Infinity firmware be used or do modbo's have their own firmwares?
Thanks again...

Recovery mode works so I am able to boot the matrix firmware on CD-R just fine, also the same with toxic firmware.
I tried downgrading just to see what happens to the official 1.93, 1.88, 1.82 and 1.75. All of them load up fine but when I press the Start button to "upgrade" nothing happens.
Please come with suggestions ;)
Thanks..

My biggest problem atm is time.. If I had some more of it I would have tryed to compare the readouts with a scope to see where the difference is. But no time ;) Ill prob end up putting a Matrix Infinity in that box so the costumer can pick it up before xmas.
But still.. Thats hours away and if anyone can come with some suggestions please do.

Just to rule out to long wires, where did you place the modbo on your motherboard PS2Duo?

i tried a couple of different locations with no luck, but normally put the chip at the bootom near the left usb port coz then all my wires aee as short ss possible, and i have never had problems with chips in this location?

Talked to my friend in china and he knows a installer there that only installs modbo's. He sent me a picture that looks just the same as this one http://www.psp-nds.com/window.php?adresF...ytylStrony=foto just with the modbo chip on it and guess what :) Its working fine now
The Y (with on the picture i posted here is L)differ from the other diagrams I have seen and the VCC too, it was the VCC that mainly got it to boot the different medias. Who would think that a couple of millivolts would have something to say. ;)
Anyway this at least got the GH-041-04 working. This season i have installed it all slim versions so I guess the Modbo v4 is on of the better clones I have tried so far.
Let me know if it helps.

Hi,
I've got a similar issue not getting Modbo v4 to work on GH-041-04 - RSOD. For some reason I can't open Penta's install diagram.
would somebody be so kind and upload the diagram again?
Thanks a lot!!
Best regards,
Joe
