Warner Music videos pulled from YouTube

article published on 21 December, 2008

According to Warner Music Group, negotiations between them and video sharing giant YouTube have broken down, and the group has removed all their music videos from the site. they didn't exactly delete the vids, but only restrict them via Youtube's Video ID system. They can restore them anytime they want

what just angers me about the situation is how "Warner" is trying to put themselves on a pedestool and come out smelling like a rose by falsely elaboration on how its to compensate the artists when in fact the artists never see a dime! Warner is so greedy I hope they take a serious impact; I wish they would have invested their company into the hands of Bernard Madoff!

Such a shame.

"If we can't reach acceptable business terms, we must part ways with successful partners," Google (owner of YouTube) added. "For example, you may notice videos that contain music owned by Warner Music Group being blocked from the site."

We must part ways with successful Partners? So they want a bigger part in the pie, and they are not getting it....booo hooo. By openly admiting that this was seccessful for them, and then turning away... how else can this be interpreted other than a spoiled child always wanting more and more with no apreciation?

Go ahead and let them turn away from the new medium. This is how information is shared nowdays. I'm sure they wont be gone for long. If anything, they will just be left out. There's really nothing to be gained from the "my way or the highway mentality here".
