Fixing video mode from PAL back to NTSC

I was trying to find a similar thread for help but didn't seem to find anything.

I think I might have bricked my wii. I was trying to play PAL games. When I load PAL games, the screen is distorted. Therefore I used the AnyRegion Changer 1.1 to change video mode from NTSC to PAL. From now on, anytime I start the Wii, the screen is distorted and can't seem to click on anything.

This should be just a video problem and is wondering if anyone knows any solution to this.

Alright... You should probably have asked about the distortion before trying to change the region, as it had nothing to do with your wii's region. And its not bricked either, bricked means it's completely dead and wont even start up.

NTSC and PAL TV's have different resolutions and refresh rates. That explains the distortion you had when playing PAL games on an NTSC TV. With the whole region of the wii changed however, the menus are distorted as well.

I'm not sure why you cant click on anything though. Assuming the wiimote is properly synced up it shouldnt be a problem unless the distortion on the screen is keeping it from being able to aim properly. Thats just a guess of course but if it is the case then using a classic controller might let you control the pointer and select the homebrew channel to run the region changer back to NTSC.

Either way, from now on it might be better to just stick to games from your wii's home region. Easier and safer that way.

I fixed the video problem...

I was just changing the video mode. It was a pain trying to change the mode back with the screen all distorted and constantly shaking =(...
