How do I install Silverlight on WinXP system?

I am trying to install silverlight so I can watch movies from Netflix. I have tried downloading using both Firefox and Explorer with the same error messages

First I get a box stating Installation Error - Target directory not specified

I click OK and it says Program Title not specified

I click OK and get a box titled American System?s Installer1.0 with a flashing curser in and empty box with the following above it:

To run the installation press the install button. %s will be copied into this directory. Type over the directory name if you wish to change it.

So, is there some destination I should be typing in this box and if so what?

I have an Intel 770 socket set 2.9 GHz chip, on an MSI board with 2G RAM, Windows-XP.
