What OS version do current Wii's ship with?

Hi I accidentally updated my Wii system to version "3.3U"

I'm wondering what version new systems ship with because I remember when I bought my first Wii I had to update right away with a disc. So I thought new systems might also have a 'base version' that would then get updated...I'm in Canada , I don't know how universal all that is.

I understand there are cheaper ways of downgrading but I'm a total noob and have to figure all that out first. There are other reasons I don't want the current console I won't bloat my post out with.

( I bought a new Wii but realized it might have the same version before opening, will take it back if it's going to be the same version
and i guess start doing my homework).

Wii's ship with whatever firmware is the most current when they're built. At this time of year they're moving from the factory to stores to consumers at record speed, so one that you get off the shelf will be very new. The new wii will almost certainly have 3.3 on it.

The downgrader really isnt that hard to use and the guides are fairly idiot proof so long as you take them one step at a time.

And if you explain what else is wrong with the wii we might be able to explain how to fix that too.

There are other issues but it's a whole other dilema, i should start another thread about it because it's another question really...and a complicated story I'm not sure anyone will have patience for. I'll post
it and see what happens.
