What are some good Wii modchip? i want it to be future proof, but i need like three of them, and i don't want to spend so much right now because i need to get another Wii, some more games and more Wiimote/nunchuck. I need help choosing a chip. so idk... I need a updatable chip that will probably be updated if it becomes incompatible with a update. D2PRO, WiiKey were great chips, as i remember from a while ago.

Edit: Oh yea i have D2C2 Wiis and a (D2E?).

Thanks in advance

Wiikey 2 and the D2Pro are the most popular for D2C and later chipsets and both are upgradable via DVD should the need ever arise.

Yea, i think those two, argon, Wasabi V2, WiiZard, wasp (never heard of it b4 n not sure) are the only upgradable chip for Wii. Problems have arise b4 like Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bro Brawl, Mario Kart...so yea. I think im gonna go with the WiiKey/D2Pro (the red one, there's a lot of clone with similar name)

Guess i will spend some money on these chips later...im gonna run the original disk, on the wii i dont really plan on pirating games. Its christmas time and i still need to get the hacks for my 360...the new drive hack stuff, so i dun got that much money to spend...

Anyone know a good trustworthy site where i could get some good up datable chips for around 40$ shipped to USA, or close to that price.

I have the D2Pro and it is faultless, well other than the "black screen" freeze the region update blocker causes.

"An Update Blocker feature has been added to d2pro and is available via a DVD update included in v1.7 of the utility disc available for download in the resources section. After running the utility disc and allowing the update of d2pro to proceed, d2pro will block all updates from other regions. You can also enable the blocking of all regions if via the utility disc."

Now I know I just use my own region will no ill effects.
