I have recently modded my wii. I just purchased GH World tour and when i went to play it the game wanted to run an update. This game was purchased from the same retailer i brought my wii from. So from reading other threads there should be no conflict in regions.
So my question is, How safe is it to run the update on my Modded WII ?????

Assuming you are using a modchip, dont do any homebrew, and only play games from your wii's home region, its safe to update.

Guitar hero is a 3rd party title so therefore it wont be a system upgrade, just some sort of .wad file needed for the specific game which is fine to update too. It's the officially licensed Nintendo 1st party (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Animal Crossing, Wii Music ect.) titles that will have the upgrades you need to be worried about. In that case you will learn to use Brick Blocker.
