80010013 - games dont work after screen cracked

Hi guys,
my neice jumped on my psp.
the screen was smashed so i had it repaired.
now the screen works fine but the psp doesnt.
for starters if i start the psp with a umd inside. it just gets stuck showing my background but with no menu.

without the umd it loads up fine. shows all the menu options but when i select a game to play from the memory stick it gives me a (80010013) 'game could not be started'

wifi is also knackered.

and when i do insert the umd later on it doesnt find it.

have i well and truly broken it?
can it be repaired?

the worst thing is that the psp isnt mine, it belongs to my friend and im trying to get it fixed before i give it back to him. he flashed it himself and all i know is that it is a slim.
