Finally I have my pc working in a fashion! i can do basics so far photos mp3 etc I can copy dvdr+ with roxio ver 6.0 but I cannot make copies of dvds I own without copying via a dvd player and home phillips recorder I want to be able to copy on my pc I have dvd drive and an Lg DVD recorder fitted as Im green can anyone help and tell me what programs I need to decrypt a dvd , copy it to myy hard drive, I have two 40gb fitted and if poss a stsge by stage 1 to whatever on exactly how to do it, I really would be grateful for you experts to share this info any help please! thanks nige

ok ok this is explained over n over but seeing man utd just scored n its pissed Me off here goes

firstly download DVD Decrypter that takes your original dvd you wish to back up and rip the dvd to your hard drive .....

before you start choose 2 folders 1 and 2 (you dont have to do this but it will this way you will remember were they are....)

open DVD Decrypter and choose to rip the dvd of your choosing to your folder number 1 this takes between 8-20 minutes depending upon your pc

when it has finished download DVD2One this compresses the original dvd so that it will fit onto a blank dvd -/+r disc....take the contents of file 1 and use DVD2One to compress the buf iof and VOB files into folder 2

after that is finished use Nero 6 to burn it choose dvd video after it opens then new .....after that is done there will be 2 blank folders on the left hand side of your screen
audio_ts
video_ts

take ALL the files out of the file you named 2 drag them into the

VIDEO_TS folder and press burn viola you should have your first back up

thanks for the info i appreciate your help , i also know that no doubt it is and has been gone over a lot but unfortunately when you are genuinely new to pcs web and forums it is sometimes just quicker to ask someone whose more experienced and quicker too than ploughing through yards of text sorry if i pissed anyone off ..nigel

sloooooowwww down....

use dvd shrink to rip/compress/reauthor[just main movie or what ever]/burn! all you need is nero loaded to pc (you dont use nero!!!) just shrink!

shrink uses nero engine to burn!

VERY EASY TO USE/LEARN and start dvd coping!!!!
