i have 3 memory sticks two 4gb and one 2 gb pro duos the other day i took out one of my 4gb sticks and put it in my psp and i got and error saying it couldn't be read and that i had to format it. i tried accessing it on my pc so i could at least back up my save files but my vista wouldn't let me either saying i had to format first. so i put the stick back in my psp and try to reformat it in there so at least it would make the folders for me but when i tried reformatting it said format failed (8022008B) i have no idea how to fix this and before you think that it is a fake believe me i have had it over a year and it worked perfectly and held its true capacity. i really would like to at least recover my save data on the stick so i don't mind reformatting but i would like to solve this problem. thanks in advance

Well it sounds like your card is corrupt and theres no way to recover your data. if your psp wont reformat try to format the memory stick through windows.

Was your psp on when you took stick out? sometimes can duff your stick up...try using windows then again format in psp...try a couple of times and you may be lucky, most probably the sticks time is up.
Sometimes you will find this happens after starting to experience the stick going a bit wierd if you know what i mean...like only having a couple of games on board taking for example 1gb and your 4gb stick is telling your memory is full, or pasting games on stick and games not showing up on psp.

Yea. If you go to replace your card check ebay first. They have sellers from hong kong that sell new cards cheap.

And when you plug your psp up to the pc via usb cable does a window pop up saying the drive is corrupt?

ebay is the LAST place to get memory sticks. plenty of fakers out there.

either get it from a reputable online store, like newegg, or get it in retail stores.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

yeah i think the card is just dead so im going to get a new 8 gb one from staples or best buy. i have seen to many cases of people getting ripped off on ebay so i know not to take my chances.its not that big of a deal replacing it just losing the save data makes me a little mad but thats ok.
