okay.. i have a nyko intercooler ex and i have a new xbox 360 that is manufactured on november 3 so i know for a fact that it has a jasper in it. today i tried to install the nyko intercooler ex because i have been using this cooler on all my previous xbox 360 and never had a single problem with the RROD. at first it wont install, i tried plugging in my power adaptor to the intercooler, it wont fit. I noticed it was because one of the middle plastic thing was blocking it from connecting on. I then use thin plier and got rid of the plastic thingy in the middle. now it fits perfectly. but when i turn on my xbox 360, there was no power at all. I heard some people got it to work but idk what i did wrong. everything fit perfectly.. why it has no power when i turn on my xbox 360? I really want to use this intercooler because it has helped me with all my previous xbox 360...
alright guys dont say intercooler is bad because if u talking about the first one without the ex, yes it was bad but intercooler ex is much better at sustaining the coolness on your xbox 360.
there's a better intercooler out; the intercooler TS. doesn't use power from the system anymore. requires an open outlet. and it's temperature controlled.

do they have a manually on and off switch or how does it turn off? do u have it, if u do, is it loud as the sound goes?
IMO all you need to do (since im assuming your moding the frimware and opening the case) Buy some heatsink chipps , all you need is like 3 or so, and it helps ALOT!

If your up to it, I would higly recomend cutting out the side grill Opposite the hard drive, just a rectangle section , it will force more AIR into the console and cool it BIG TIME. The chipps alone will lower temp 5 to 10deg f.
Adding more air INTAKE will lower 5 to 10 also. The exhaust is not that much of a differance.

intercooler ts is all 25 dollars. any place they have it cheaper?
