I have one of the very first xbox 360s, bought it from Canada a week after the release date. It's NTSC and it's flashed, haven't even been banned from xbox live so far and it's been a month. All backed up NTSC games play flawlessly, but I tried Dead Rising [Pal] and it just gives me the region error message when I put it in.
Is there a way to re-burn the game as region free perhaps? Any way around this hindrance?
tyvm for the swift reply, but I'd rather find an actual NTSC version of dead rising than to go through this complicated tutorial. This is for people switching continents, I was trying to simply switch the version of the game itself, but since that's not possible I guess I'll look for an nstc version somewhere.
you can't change the region of a game. if you're looking for a different region, just keep looking until you find one. No one is going to post on this forum a link to it.

Here is a link to an ntsc version of the game, it's from piratebay.org so you should be prepared for slow speeds and a chance at it not working, i checked the comments and no one has verified if it works, but good luck. I suspect at least a week of downloading. If you do have an account at a private website i suggest using it.

dude, are you kidding? Did you read the rules when signing up at this forum? We can get away with a lot of stuff, but one thing that is definitely not allowed is posting a link for a download, such as what you just did. I would definitely suggest getting rid of it as soon as possible before you get suspended or so
