I have a wiikey, what is the best version of Wii to use?

i currently have v. 3.2. which is the best version to use if i have wiikey?? is it safe to have wiikey AND homebrew?

Modchips work on any firmware, it really dosent matter one bit. You have to worry about chipsets with modchips though. The wiikey is only compatible with DMS, D2A and D2B wiis. If yours uses a later chipset then that modchip wont work.

And yes, its perfectly fine to have a modchip and homebrew installed, though firmwares after 3.2 have negatively effected homebrew. There are workarounds though so if you do upgrade in the future its not really a huge problem.
