Hi all -- didn't find the answer in the archives so here's my question:

I am ripping DVDs to VCDs with SmartRipper/DVD2AVI/TMPGenc and having mostly success. On my most recent project I am having trouble with the audio disappearing on the output MPG file.

My VOB files play fine in PowerDVD. My *.d2v/*.wav files open up fine in TMPGenc (they've been mixed down to 2 channel from AC3) and when I encode with TMPGenc REALTIME it seems to create the MPG files just fine (audio+video).

When I use the batch encode feature of TMPGenc, however, it loses the audio portion of the resulting MPG. The log file says that all were encoded successfully and the video is there but...no audio!

I'm using the updated version of TMPGenc (the one that says that the bug where audio can be dropped on movies > 3 hrs has been fixed) but my audio still gets lost. I have broken down the *.d2v files into shorter lengths (in case that >3 hour thing still was a problem) and it still loses the audio.

Any ideas?
