i was looking at my friends xbox that he just got back from Microsoft and they have striped two of the long screws that go into the metal case. How can I get them out?

The long screws go in to the top shell. They just pass through the metal case.

You can double up a small piece of tape and stick it on the end of a screwdrive or pen/pencil. If that's not enough, then a dab of hot glue on the tip of the screwdriver works really good.

You may also want to try the next torx size up from the one you were using.Sometimes it works sometimes it dont,worth a try.

Either that or get a dremel and cut the head so you can use a flathead to get em out

Ok I will try the dremel if all else fails I tried removing it with pliers not enough space to get a grip. It just has one tight turn left. Should I buy replacement screws because my friends wants me to put the warranty sticker back on after I am done in case it breaks. I usually don't do that will microsoft care if he send it xbox in with stripped screws.

I would get the replacement screws, and have you tried vice grips? a small pair should do the trick if you already have it out a bit.

I was thinking Dremel also. When I took my son's 360 apart I did not put the screws back in nor the metal plate at the top (metal conducts heat so I left it off to be cooler) and the 360 holds together great without the screws.
