I am currently running a JP WII w/ a WiiKey at 1.9 and configured w/ the 1.4 The Wii itself at 3.4j

I tried to use the homebrew channel DVD, but it would not load after writing at 2x or 4x +r/-r. So I gave up and decided to go with the twilight hack. Using a US backup version I have.

The file copies to the wii fine and I can select it from twilight. It starts to boot ok then goes into something of a dump routine
"err=.........." for a couple of minutes then it says that it could not find the code.

I dumped the homebrew channel files to the root of the card and have the change region and other progs in the apps/ .

I need to get the channel installed to change the region and make another couple changes to get Rock Band 2 to work.

Animal Crossing city folk works fine as well as my other games and backups.

RB2 loads in the channel then goes black after I select it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

This happened to me. It shows err = and a bunch of random numbers show up for minutes on end. Basically it doesn't get you anywhere. What I figured out though it is; it's the SD card you're using. When I got the error I was using a 16mb Fat16 formatted SD. Everything was setup perfectly, the apps folder, the .dol file and the "private" folder for the Twilight files. I changed my SD to a 1 gig with the exact same file structure and setup and it worked fine.

In a nutshell:

It's your SD card. Use either a 1 or 2 gig trusted brand (Sandisk comes to mind)

Hope this helps!

AFAIK the Homebrew channel iso is trucha signed meaning it'll only work up to fw 3.2x.
