Ok, I'm fairly new to PS2 backups and stuff. I have a DMS4 EZI Pro in my Fat v10 PS2. It doesn't fit very well at all, and half the time has too much pressure on the chip to work right. (I guess this is just for v10's. I had a v9 a while back and it worked perfectly...)

Anyways, in an effort to play backups without the chip in it, I started looking into the Memory Card exploit. It requires patching, and that turned me off because I have quite a few backups that I don't want to reburn, mainly because I don't have the money for more DVD-R's at the moment. But I found that it can boot stuff like HD Loader.

Now my questions are.

1) Can I make the MC Exploit without burning a CD using ToxicOS and a USB Flashdrive? If so, can someone point me towards a guide on how to do so?
2) Can I then use the MC Exploit to run HD Loader after I take the Mod Chip out, and then copy games to the HDD?
2b) If yes, do the games need to be patched to run? Like they need to when using the MC Exploit regularly.
2c) Will games copied to the HDD using the MC Exploit have the compatibility of HD Loader, or the compatibility ESR?
3) Can I use the exploited Memory Card on my Slim PS2 in the other room to run backups off of a USB HDD?

Any pointers are welcome, because this has been kinda bothering me after I found out that the DMS4 EZI has problems with v10's.
