So here's my problem: Incredible amounts of lag when trying to stream trailers/shows in Media Center.

I just got a new xbox 360 arcade system, and since I'm a fan of DIY activities I found a guide on afterdawn on how to share a laptop's wireless connection with the xbox, thus saving me $100 on the wireless adapter. Now, I am running Vista Ultimate and have a very fast high speed internet connection. I'm not sure exactly what the package is, but speed test is giving me speeds of 18,000kb/s download.

When the ICS is up an running, I am able to sign into xbox live and play games without any lag or drops. However, when I try to download demo's or stream trailers and shows, the connection either times out or is incredibly laggy. My router is on the second floor and there is no TV near it, so I can't do a direct wired connection to the xbox. I have a suspicion that when I use ICS, the internet speed for my xbox drops dramatically, which is why I wouldn't be able to download at a reasonable rate or stream things.

Has anyone had any experience with ICS and a very slow connection? I've searched the boards but can't seem to find anything definite.
