So i finally got around to working on the halo 360 i was planning on doing for months now. I figured the best way to get power to my led boards was to add a molex connector. I googled "xbox 360 power locations" and this came up

So i figured "hey this is exactly what i want to do"

I took the xclamp replacement screws out of the box and counted all the washers and made sure i had everything, took the board out and flipped it over. I soldered everything as shown, threw it all back together and tested it. While powered i had 12v and 5v, but when the xbox was off i still had 5v. Someone forgot to mention in the tutorial that it's a 5v standby. I changed my google search and a post by RDC came up on xbox scene. He confirms that this is a 5v standby and the 12v is when powered.

I have to backtrack a little bit to fix this but it's not a big deal. I also have to reposition the led boards i made to distribute the light a little more evenly. Anyway just letting you guys know so someone else can save time and not have this annoying problem.
