bought faulty xbox 360...what could possibly be wrong?

got a faulty 360 console.
its clearly been opened before. its got 2fans fitted in, and i think the x-clamp. xbox loads fine onto dashboard, but when you put in a game it crashes. if dashboard is left on for few mins its freezes and u have to restart the xbox.
the dvd drive is a samsung ms28.

also on the dashboard sometimes it has random blocks appear like when a tv channel experiences breakage when its bad signal and heavy rain but sometimes it returns to normal after.
its not the wires its the xbox.

anybody have any suggestions?

tried reading the firmware using mtkflash and doing 'mtkflash r /m orig.bin' but it was no drive detected and because its ms28 and probably hacked its gonna need twice as hard work to get it detected.

any ideas anyone? thanks for reading

Bought yourself an unfixable lump of junk eh? .. I will pretty much guarantee it's a gonner... otherwise why didn't the seller fix it?

People put assorted broken bits together and then sell them.. but you might be able to salvage the ms28 drive as long as you have the right chipset and pull the 10 second trick... (guides and stickies.. but probably pointless as the drive isn't working) sounds like this is a heatgunned gpu problems motherboard that somebody has given up on.. or maybe 3 or 4 people have given up on.

sounds like somethings wrong with he gpu man. if the x clamps still there try doing the 3RROD fix, if thye replaced the x clamps with the screws then just unhook the fan and let ti heat up. if that doesn't well if no use. also if there is a way try re flashing the xbox not sure if you can or not never wanted to, its possible it could be something wrong with the firmware

i bought it from woolworths as faulty but they said the seal is still in place. but it was but had a closer look when i opened it and it had alot of scratches on it from the previous person who opened it.
