Heres the deal. I have a broken Samsung ms25 drive.

I bought a new Hitachi GDR-3120L drive to use instead.

I know that I need to get the key from the Samsung drive and then flash the hitachi drive with that key.

The only problem I am having though is I can't get this dam key off the Samsung drive.

I am following the textbook and booted from usb. Once I agree to the terms I have two options:

1. XTREME Sec Master
2. XTREME Sec Slave

I have tried both and it hangs right after i select a number.

I read something about using enable0800 to unlock the drive. Well the drive I don't believe has ever been flashed so its the original firmware. I cannot use enable0800 because the drive no longer reads discs.

Any help guys?
