VGA - "Over Range"

Hey

Currently I am playing my Xbox 360 in standard definition. I tried to put it into VGA but the display is all random colours and says "Over range".

How can I fix this problem and put it in VGA?

the cable isn't long at all as my xbox360 is right next to my tv

WOW not sure. Let me get with my friends and see what they come up with? So your using the VGA connection for the 360? I guess you don't have component connections on your TV.

No, my tv sucks pretty badly. I think it maybe the resolution set on my xbox but iv already tried that.
