Using Windows, I've tried twice to burn xvid files to a dvd+rw disc, and each time, the files end up on the disc in a different sequence than is listed. There are six files, and the first is first, then the sixth, fifth, fourth, third, and second. How can I ensure that files end up on the disc in the order I intend?
For a data disk, the files will end up in alphabetical order - so they would have to be renamed (perhaps add 01, 02, 03 etc to the name).
AFAIK, the only disk that you can select the order, is an audio CD.
I've run into this same problem, recently, with episodes of a TV show. They were all named in a similar fashion and were shown listed in the proper order in Windows. After buring them to disc, my set-top DivX player had one episode, from the middle of the season, listed at the very end of the list.
The culprit, in this case, was capitalization. All of the episodes had a capital "S" except for that one, which had a lower-case "s". Strange how such a tiny thing can screw up a whole disc, eh?
