Hi.

I have a brand new xbox360 arcade (no Hard Disc). I'm getting a ' cannot read disc' error when I play Gears of War 2 after playing it for less than ten minutes. I have a couple of other games where it hasn't happened.

I took the disc back to the shop and got a replacement, but the same problem.

I've looked at some of the other posts which suggest dirty lens etc. Can't see how this could be the case here as the console is brand new.

Could it be the 'game save' problem some have mentioned, and if so how can I fix it?

Take the Xbox back and get a new one.I just went threw the same crap,I bought my kids a new Xbox for x-mas along with some games and one of them Games was Gears od War 2 and I had the same problem.
I had took back Gears 2. then tried the new replacement in the kids xbox then sure enough Dirty Disc.
So I talked to a manager and explained to them that it only was happining on one game,so they decided to try console swap and sence I swappped console's they have not had one single error and they beat gears 2 without even a hiccup.I think that it had a weak laser or something.
