Hello everyone! This is my first post but I've already done a lot of reading on this subject.
I own a PS2 Slim (SCPH 77001) and I want to know if Swap Magic 3.6 or 3.8 will support my PS2 version. I know Swap Magic Home page says they support up to (SCPH 7000x).
Does anyone KNOWS, for certain, that a (SCPH 77001) will work with Swap Magic? Also, do I need the Swap Lid or Swap Keys to get it working with the disk?
So, you say that Swap Magic will work on SCPH 77001 but you didn't specify which disk I should get 3.6 or 3.8. Also, how do you know it will work on SCPH 7701?
Does anyone know the difference between 3.6 and 3.8? Which one do you think I should go with?

go with 3.6. some games that work on 3.6 dont work on 3.8 coder.(coder is just 3.6 only you can do codes)
anyways, if u want codes just get an action replay and burn it
I currently have an SPCH 77001 with Swap Magic 3.6 and Magic Keys and I am having some trouble getting it to work. The Swap Magic disk will boot, but when you start to play the game, it never makes it to the game itself (black screen). In the best case, it will make it through a few intro screens before locking up. I know that it is not the disk because I also have a SCPH 79001 with the same version Swap Magic and Magic Keys, and it works fine. So the 77001 that I have will still play the originals, but won't play the backups. Has anyone else experienced this? I've cleaned the lenses to no avail.
