is the new liteon drives now flashable?

Hi People, can the new liteon drive be flashed? I have heard it was on the way. I am familiar with flashing all the older drives but I have a new liteon xbox and an old hitachi 79fl drive that I installed a passkey to from an old red ring of death console. My options are to install the new key to the hitachi but im not clued up on even reading from the liteon, seems alot of bricked ones reading various threads on here. Or flashing the liteon. How do I change the hitachi key? the software I originally flashed it with read and injected the key to the new firmware, I dont see how it can be changed. I used iprep also am I right in thinking the hitachi 79 can be flashed without installing the passkey as I have unsoldered it.
too many questions I know but any help would be very much appreciated.
