HBC wont load programs

I have the correct app(s) in the root directory of the same SD card I loaded the twilight nd HBC channel files onto. I have tried dropping the unzipped folder, just the folder contents, and doing only the respective boot.dol file in the root as well as just . When I load HBC I briefly get the 'loading SD' msg, but then only get the rising bubbles and the lowest right icon lit.

The SD is being formatted in the std FAT (not 32) format, and Ive even tried using SDFormatter just in case.

Is it possible HBC might not recognize certain SD cards? Its a kingston 2GB.

AAH so frustrating. It takes 5 min to do the twilight and HBC install and im stuck for days on this. Please help!

The card might be incompatible. I know some kingstons have problems.

I believe if nothing shows up, then that mean s the channel is working but finds nothing on the card.

ITT: Try another card.

Make sure your applications are in the proper folder directory.

You should have a directory of...

SD:/apps/application folder/boot.dol (you might also have a icon.png/meta.xml in the application folder).

ya everythings in the proper directory.

ill get a new SD card tomorrow and hope thats it. ive seen this problem posted elsewhere several times with no follow up, so i will keep all posted to hopefully save someone else a lot of unnecessary research.

larrylje is right. all i needed was an apps folder in the root directory-thats it.

all of the guides ive come across say to place the .dol program of choice in the root menu, which does not work.

its like looking all morning for your keys and theyre in your pocket. thanks larry
