Data DVD playback problem.

I just recently got the whole 3rd season of Futurama, which I assumed was encrypted with DIVX, but I've been running into a weird problem. When I burn the all the file to a cd and play it on my PS3, of the 15 files about 1/3 are saying unsupported file type (this also happens with the 1st & 2nd season but every file says unsupported file type). I thought that maybe they weren't DIVX, but I have another DVD player that supports DIVX playback and the cds work fine --all the files play. Is there a way I can fix this and get all the video files to play? Or does anyone what the problem is? Thanks.

Even if the data type is "unsupported," the PS3 might still be able to play them. Might, I'm not sure.

That said, the PS3's picky about which DivX/Xvid files it'll play. I think it has something to do with the way the video is encoded. A wrong setting, an outdated version of DivX, something. Anyway, the only way to get those to work is to re-encode them.

Or you could try streaming them from your PC to your PS3. Programs like TVersity and Windows Media Player 11 MIGHT be able to transcode on the fly and fix the problem.
