I have burned a few games now. Zelda works on wii gator by simply clicking on the icon. I have to force ntsc to work on sonic, mario kart and all the others I have burned. why is this? Can I do something different so I don't have to?

Yes that is why.

PAL games that boot in 60Hz should boot fine as normal. But if they boot 50Hz then you will need to FORCE NTSC.

Don't ask how you can tell what it boots in. Just try it normal and if it doesn't boot or you get a green screen then boot it FORCE NTSC.
