are downloads faster?
that all depends on the individual torrent/tracker and your setup/connection

demoniod is a private tracker, the website hosts torrents, using a bittorrent client you can run these files which contain information to connect you to a tracker(s) and peers in which to download whatever goodies your after....so demoniod does not host the listed material.....

rapidshare...megaupload.....those are http download services, they cost $$, and produce $$ whether or not your a member of their service.... using torrents is free and can achieve faster speeds if your setup is done correctly

i dont know what you mean by "using utorrent", utorrent is a bittorent client used to run torrents, a poor torrents with few peers or a torrent with a bad seeder to leecher ratio will also give you slow speeds,

what separates demnoniod? its a private tracker, private trackers try to maintain a high amount of member that seed the material giving it faster download speeds to other peers, member that dont abuse torrents
and possibley submit material, private trackers usually have a smaller pool of users but have faster speeds, they also may contain a lot more torrents (active) or older material that can't be found on public trackers anymore..but that's just an opinion....the general idea is that private trackers are safers,
but that's also an opinion XD

btw, dont link to the site here on afterdawn, and dont request an invite to sites like that here....the site contains an faq area...i suggest you look it up...can't link you to it sorry...

it used to be a good site where people posted torrents. but the FCC threatened their Internet provider and now they are just a tracker and community.

well download speeds depend on setup , torrent and tracker for the most part so it varies, you'll get a connection on any torrent listed on the site thats a given, the more popular ones i see speeds of over 600kb/s, however some people see much higher speeds...again setup and such....it's worth mentioning demoniod isn't at the same caliber as it used to be....
