PS2 swap magic 3.6 and magic switch help plz!

I just got swap magic 3.6 and the switch magic tools in the mail. I have a SCPH-79001 version of the slim line ps2. I put the swap magic disk in the PS2, but it says it can't read the disk. What do i do?

Do you have problems playing any other discs like your PS2 DVD games
Make sure it pressed down firmly on the spindle.
Do you have another PS2 you can try the Swap Magic Disk in, or a friends.
Do both disks say they can't be read.

No, all other disks work.
I tried it multiple times and made sure it was pressed down firmly. Still didn't work.
I don't have another ps2. I'll try finding someone with one, but My PS2 is only 1 year old, and works fine with everything else.
Both the dvd and cd disks cant be read.
I did notice that the disks said "Magic3 plus" instead of "SwapMagic3 plus" like it showed in the pictures.

If everything else works fine, then I would check with your retailer and ask to exchange them.
Most honest ones will. It is not uncommon for these disks to come faulty.

Well that's good to hear. Let us know when you get them back and yes I hope they work. They should.
Also just to let you know on some model 79001, you will only need to block 2 sensors for it too work.
The one near the disc brake, and the one near the power/reset switch.
Then on some models there is the 3rd sensor.

With the SCPH-79001 I needed to block 3. The two u mentioned and one on the inside. I didn't matter too much though, cause my warranty is already over. I post again when i get the new cds. Thanks again.

I got back the cds. The dvd disk loads now, but the cd disk still goes to the browser screen and can not be read. I'm trying to get the dvd disk to work now. I loaded the swap magic, switched to my ps2 disk, then hit load, but it said it wasn't a valid ps2 disk. The ps2 games/movies I have are french. I was thinking maybe that's why they wont work. Does swap magic work with foreign games other than japanese?

Cool you got them now.
Sometimes the SM CD will work if you load it with the SM DVD.
It is probably rare that you will use the CD but who knows.
Swap Magic doesn't load movies, but it will load SMS.ELF which is a program used for movies.
Yeah I don't know if the PS2 likes out of region movie disks, probably not.
As for Import Games it is better to back the game up using imgburn to an ISO image, then burn the ISO image using imgburn at about 4x speed.

I tried playing Singstar 80's (french) with it, but the bottom of the screen was cut off so I couldn't see the words, and There was no color. Do u know how to fix this?
