For a Sony PSP-3001 consol, do you know any reliable tools to easily copy/backup PSP UMD gaming disc into a Memory Stick Pro Duo Card or PC?

For the Xbox 360, it's rather easy to backup games if you have the proper hardware.
For the PS3, I think they have only been able to rip games, but not actually back one up onto another disc.
For the Wii, it's incredibly easy. Most games are single-layered, and for the dual-layer, you need yourself a drive that can read DL.
For the DS, you need a proper expansion slot connected to your computer, and those can usually only be purchased online.

What I mean is using a computer to copy a gaming disc that is playable in a console. Do you mean the Xbox 360 and Wii gaming disc can be copied in a computer and then I can play that copied disc in a console. Is it correct?

I have only ever read about 360 copying, so my word is not the best to trust, but you need the correct hardware (disc reader, etc.) to copy the .ISO. And for Wii, I'm pretty darn sure you don't need any special hardware.

But let's remember that to play any backed up game you need a modded console for some. The exception is the DS which you can just use a flash card - Link.
The Wii you need certain models of dvd-rom drive to rip the games - guide or through the twilight hack - link.
PS3 Onionfly is correct - I think you can rip just can't play any backups yet. That's the last I checked.
XBox - yep needs to be modded/flashed - check here for the different guides and creating backups - link

I think the copied disc should be playable in the console; otherwise, it is meaningless to copy or backup the gaming disc, right? From your replies, it seems Wii is the easiest for copy and backup because it just needs some LG DVD burner? Is it correct? In addition, should I just copy the Will gaming disc by the external LC DVD burner jut like copy the data CD?

Each console is different - the Wii either has to modded with a modchip or through the Twilight Hack to play a backed up game. Then you need to rip the game with only those certain models of LG drives using RawDump or FriDump - this can take a few hours. It's not like copying data.
My advice would be to research each console to see which option is best for you and what is involved - each console forum here has guides. This should help lead you in the right direction.
Also some consoles may have games that you prefer - for me I find limited games that I like with the Wii but more that I like w/ the Sony consoles.

You said you like Sony because of its good game source. But, Sony PSP3 or others probably is the hardest console to copy or hack its gaming disc. So, Sony console is hard to be considered. The Wii or Xbox 360 is probably better to choose. I think the console should be easy to copy its gaming disc and the copied disc should be playable in the console; otherwise, the potential cost will be very high.

I like some of Sony's exclusive games better than other consoles but that is just my preference - we each have are own.
The PS3 has not been hacked as of yet. I don't have one yet when I upgrade to HD I will then.
Yeah backing up the games is great but for me at least even if the console can't be modded I'll still buy it if it one I really want.
Needless to say all these years buying consoles (family too) I have boxes and boxes of games :)
But hey we each buy what we want for our own reasons - imo no ones reason is better then someones else - we're all different which is a good thing - conformity is boring :)

I specially went to a store and checked the games for the most popular of PS2&3, PSP, Xbox 360 and Wii. It seems Wii has different game titles but the other three have almost same game titles. As a result, one may not have to go with the PS2 or 3 but Xbox 360 because Xbox 360 shares the same game title with the Sony PS. What one may need to choose the console is Wii or Xbox 360. Then it is reasonable to pick the one that should be easiest to backup its gaming disc, either Wii or Xbox 360.

all systems must be modded to play backups. the companies "try" to make it hard to mod because there are people who will always download the games instead of buying the games itself.
with the wii and 360, you need special drives just to read the game. the wii uses a certain LG, while the 360 uses a certain samsung. along with the drives, you need certain programs.
if all systems can read backups from the start, then the retail games won't sell out since everyone can copy it. consumers will be happy, but the companies will hate it since they're losing profit.
with the psp, i choose to use custom firmware because it's more convient to have all the games on the memory stick, instead of lugging around all the umd. and it fully unleashes the potential of the psp.
but sony doesn't think that. they think all consumers with custom firmware psp's are using it to play pirated games. it's either all or nothing, nothing inbetween. that's how it is.

Do you know whether the custom firmware available to the new PSP-3001 model? In addition, do you know whether Sony PS3 can play copied DVD movie disc, either blue-ray or regular DVD? Does anyone know the answers to two questions above?

there is nothing for the 3000 series, for now. only original 1000 and 2000 series with 3.95 or lower, out of the box.

PS3's can play backed up & regular DVD's. For Blu Ray back ups - no clue - those blanks discs and burners are a little to pricey me now.
