I'm in the process of burning Step Brothers with ImageBurn, but as it's verifying the sectors at the very end, it fails and says "I/O Error" and failed. What does this mean? This is what I did, in order...
I ripped Step Brothers using the newest version of DvdFab. I then ran those VOB/BUP/IFO files through FixVTS and processed the full dvd. When I opened ImageBurn, I selected the "write files to disc" option first. Is that even right? I'm assuming it is, but it didn't say in the guidelines. Even though it says I'm writing files to a disc, it is still burning me the image onto the DVDR DL like it would an .ISO file right? So that'd it be ready to be viewed in a DVD player?? That is what makes most sense to me...
After that, I then opened the FixVTS ripped files folder into ImageBurn. I inserted my DVDR DL (using my father's computer who has a DVDR DL-writing disc drive). I also made sure it was in Build Mode and Output to Device like in the guidelines. For the supported write speeds, the lowest was 4x, so I selected that one. Then when I was ready to burn, it prompted me a few messages before it started burning...
First, it asked me if the FixVTS files represented that of the exact VTS files ripped from in DvdFab... I'm assuming they're the same, that's what makes most sense to me, so I clicked "yes".
After that, it asked me about the Layer Break Position. There were only 3 selections, all of which were "average" and SPLIP was all "yes". When I previewed the 3 each individually, the picture was very fuzzy and jumpy for all of them. Is that supposed to be? or is that not normal? If that's not right, what went wrong?? Would that be Dvd Fab or FixVTS? I also saw something in the guidelines about a Cell 1 being before the break, and a Cell 2 being after the break, but didn't quite understand... What is that about?? Is this even important? because my first option started at Cell 5 it said. I started it from the beginning, and didn't see anything where I could preview a Cell 1 or Cell 2...
If that IS normal, then proceeding from there, I clicked on the top selection as per my preference viewing between the fuzziness, and went on to the next step. I assigned it a Volume Label as well. When that was all said and done, I went to burn. It got past 100%, then when it went into "veryifying sectors", an error came up reading "I/O Error! Device:(the drive). ScsiStatus: 0x2, Interpretation: Check Condition. CDB:(a bunch of numbers), Interpretation: Read (10) - Sector:(numbers). Sense Area:(a bunch of numbers), Interpretation: No Seek Complete. What does this error message mean??
For those who may say try VOB Blanker... I did that as well, and also failed but with a different error message reading only "Session Fixation Error Writing Lead Out". I did the same steps from Dvd Fab to VOB Blanker as I did with FixVTS. Went thru the prompts the same, and burned the same... Only difference was that after it reached 100%, it failed even sooner at the "finalizing disc" stage, along with that error message. And what does this error mean??
Why am I having trouble with both routes? Do these 2 errors mean that something went wrong in the Dvd Fab or VOB Blanker/FixVTS stages of ripping?? or strictly with ImageBurn? Or maybe it's even all of them? As you can see I'm frustrated enough to take the time time out to write all of this... Any help is much appreciated. And please don't just send me another link where I'm just going to have to re-post this whole message again...
Thank you!!

So I tried new Verbatim DVDR+DL(up to 8x) discs on ImageBurn at 2.4x, suggested by ImageBurn forum. They also said to use the straight files ripped from DvdFab, and that VOB Blanker/FixVTS were not neccessary. So when I uploaded the files and went to burn, the burning operation went successfully! With no errors! However, when I went to watch it, the picture was very fuzzy and scrambly. So that tells me it was the DvdFab... but it's relieving to know I've found the right media for ImageBurn. So what should I try next? Is there a setting in DvdFab I should be selecting? Or would VOB Blanker/FixVTS fix this? I remember when I WAS trying the FixVTS or VOB Blanker files the last several failed attempts, that when I went to preview the cells for the layer break position, that they were also scrambly and fuzzy, just like the finished product from the straight DvdFab files I just did now... Or do you think that I should try re-ripping the movie with DvdFab alltogether? What should I do? Thank you

When you rip the files from the original disk, can you play those files on the pc with your media player.
Do they look ok?

Hey. hmm media player? Not sure what you mean by that... But the original files I ripped with DvdFab are all IFO/BUP/VOB files. Those you can't just view... Or do you mean playing them somehow back in DvdFab?
Thank you

Success!! Step Brothers all done! Re-dl'd DvdFab, ripped great, previewed them in MPC, Shrink then worked, then burned with ImageBurn on a single layer disc at 4x. Thanks to all who helped me thru it! Any questions, please ask :)
