Were could i buy The box or super box that is not a clone and cheap don't trust fleebay had a bad experience on their when i got starview one that was a clone

This is a very reliable supplier, but have a look around, you may want to consider another type of receiver for a change, you have to consuder that the SV 1/2/3 are no longer being manufactured and it is only old stock (or clones) that is being sold okay, not suggesting that they sell clones at all though.

Many thanks for that i was asking for the starview ones because i have the box and starview 1 and don't no much about any other box.
Are other types of boxes as easy as starview to flash
And it is for my mum as a late Christmas prezie and i will no what to do with it

O ok is the starview 4 were you use a memory stick to update it.
Is it as easy that.

Andy, yes you need a usb stick to update the SV4.
AS sc0user said its the easiest of the SV`s to update & you can also record from the TV.

hey guys know your the ones to ask. Pretty much in the same situation my 1 has broken so looking for a new purchase. The above link to that shop is it kosher what wiv everything thats happening at the mo. Also like to say ta for all the work getting the fixes for the last ones. And is the 4 rated or is it hype.

just having a read through and realised i asked a stupid question bout firmware so sorry bout that. there is another thread with alot about the sv4. Just not to sure bout things had my sv1 for quite a while but got from a friend of a friend just abit thingy bout buying 1 from the net once bout a camcorder and actually got a brick QUALITY.
