I have installed a ChipMod Pro 2.0+ into my slim PS2, the chip seems to work ok, but there are a few issues such as some games I burned freeze during the title screen of the game. Plus I can't get any ps1 back ups to play.. What are the best brand names for ps2 & ps1 games cd's? Maxell or Verbatim? What is the best software to burn the ps2 games? I use Nero 8, I have tried Alcohol 120%, but it has problems burning and stops and screws my cd up! Does anyone know anything about this chip and why I can't get ps1 games to boot? why don't you try and contact modchip.ca ?

it is likely because of the "S" point being soldered poorly... unless your PS2 doesn't play ps1 games when you turn the chip off, then it's likely your laser..
