hey guys/girls,

just wondering, i was flashing a hitachi v59 with firmware toolbox 4.6 and my computer froze. now my drive is bricked, but i was also wondering, i have a hitachi v46, and it is not bricked just doesn;t load games anymore, would i be able to switch the controller boards on the dvd drives and then reflash, i have all firmwares and drive keys so that is not an issue. thanks to everyone who replies!!

you should be able to swap the PCB boards out, however, like you said, you will have to flash the new board with the old boards FW.

thanks for the reply wabash, when you say that you just mean the old drive key to the new board(from 59 to 46) right? or flash the 59 firmware to the 46.
