Have fios HD DVR, which has a very limited hard drive. I am looking for a device to record some of the shows I want to save. I am now recording them onto my Pioneer 510HDD/burner(SD) but picture quality is marginal at best. As the the top and bottoms of the video are blacked out.
I am ordering a fire wire to see what the picture looks like recorde thru the dv connection.
I have been told that this isn't going to work?
Is there a cheap alternative out there that can be hooked uo to the Fios DVR to record to? Without a PC?
Happague has a unit for 200-250.Which would be OK
