hi ive tried to connect with ethernet cable from router to xbox when i run test on x box it stops at first one network adapters saying im dissconected im using the same cable that i use for my pc i unplug from pc then plug it into xbox turn on xbox but still says network adapter disconnected please help

When you swap ethernet cables between the pc an 360, you must reboot the router. Unplug the router, wait 10 seconds and plug it back in.

Also if you're not using a router, unplug the modem itself and follow the same directions.

trying using a second cord so your pc and 360 both get their own cord/port.

hi tried second cable now getting still not connected error code w 0000-0000 x8000-001d y0000-0000 000 z0000-0000 any help woud be make me very happy ive also put all network settings in manually

i assume you have the DHCP server turned on on the router?
